Welcome to Focus Mate. This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you use our mobile application (“App”). We take your privacy seriously and ensure full compliance with Apple’s App Store Guidelines, GDPR, and CCPA.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Information:
Account Data: Name, email, and profile image when signing in with Firebase Authentication.
Optional: Phone number, username, profile info (if provided).
Content Data: Tasks, goals, notes, reminders, and other user-generated content.
Device & Technical Data: App usage statistics, crash logs, device model, OS version (for analytics and improvement).
Microphone Access: Only used with user permission for the AI Assistant feature (voice-to-text); audio is not stored.
2. How We Use Your Information
To create and manage your account.
To store and sync your goals, tasks, and reminders securely.
To enable optional AI Assistant voice input.
To improve app performance, user experience, and fix bugs.
To operate in offline mode and later sync data to the cloud (Firebase, Supabase).
3. Data Linked to You
The following types of data may be linked to your identity (as per App Store privacy labels):
Contact Info (name, email)
User Content (tasks, goals, notes)
Identifiers (Firebase UID)
Diagnostics (crash logs, analytics)
4. Data Not Collected
We do not collect your location data, financial data, health data, or browsing history. We do not track users across apps and websites owned by other companies.
5. Tracking & Third Parties
Focus Mate does not use tracking technologies for advertising or behavioral profiling. However, we use third-party services only to improve app functionality:
Speech-to-Text API: Used only when using the voice assistant feature; input is not stored.
6. Data Storage and Security
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
Stored securely on Firebase Firestore and Supabase with restricted access.
Account access protected by Firebase Authentication.
7. Guest Mode
You may use Focus Mate in Guest Mode. In this mode, your data is stored locally on your device and not synced to the cloud. Deleting the app will erase all guest data permanently.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain user data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion anytime:
All personal and stored data will be removed within 7 business days.
9. Your Rights
Access your stored data.
Request correction or update of personal info.
Delete your account and associated data.
Request a copy of your data (data portability).
10. Children’s Privacy
Focus Mate is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that a child has provided data, we will delete it promptly.
11. International Users
Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country (e.g., USA). By using Focus Mate, you consent to such transfer and processing.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may occasionally update this policy. You will be notified via in-app message or email if significant changes are made.
